Christ is the project of Cristina Alberici, the singer of X Mary. I thought of facing the nth group that does not demented sense of his strength (or weakness depending on your point of view), and yet here it gets somewhat different. If this time is sung in English, Cristiano is intelligent more in the background, conscious that his talent can often cannibalize what's behind it. And this time the collaborations are not just: among the many names we mention the ubiquitous Magistrali Fabio, Paolo Apollo Negri (Link Quartet) all'hammond Alexander and German (Above the tree) on guitar. The band then gives way to more quirky power pop, as in the interludes which climb by bike or Storm or Violins, soon to leave the ground for influences related to Pavement-era "I take the ass the band's alternative-hype movement "(the mantra of So Sad or Stereogirl seem to wink at Cut Your Hair, Range Life ). But there's more: an undeniable post-punk vein ( Granite , I can not , Arcade ) Exploding in a disk that appears to remain packed even in the cauldron that flows into the pop psychedelia more playful and less sophisticated ( Magic Piper ).
